Non-Linear Junction Detectors (NLJD)
Non-Linear Junction Detectors (NLJD's)

The HAWK XTS NLJD is capable of locating and confirming the presence of electronic devices, regardless whether they are switched on or off. The HAWK XTS is a portable, simple to use advanced Electronic Device Detector, also known as a Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD).

NLJD's are used by TSCM sweep teams to find: hidden “bugging” devices; mobile phones; recorders; active and passive surveillance devices. The HAWK XTS is lightweight, utilizes modern technology shaped to allow easy handling; single-body design containing transceiver, antenna and display assembly on a single extendible unit.

The HAWK XTS is the latest state-of-the-art Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD); includes automatic frequency selection & automatic power control to prevent saturation of targets and provide more accurate analysis. Other advancements include tactile bright AMOLED touch screen display and simple user interface for quick evaluation of targets.

One of the greatest areas of concern to soldiers in the field is that of Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIEDs), which kill more soldiers in modern warfare than any other weapon system. Winkelmann has over two decades of experience in developing NLJD’s and has delivered over 2500 units to Military & Government agencies.

HAWK XTS-900 - field operatable NLJD system, lightweight, robust, utilizing modern technology and shaped to allow easy handling. Deployed by engineer search teams to detect RCIED's. The lower frequency of the XTS-900 provides greater penetration in the ground. More >

HAWK XTS-2500 - used by professional & government sweep teams for detection of hidden electronic surveillance devices, provides excellent discrimination between electronic and corrosive targets. The higher frequency of the XTS-2500 provides greater detection of mobile phones and similar devices. More >

SEARCHER-2500 is the most compact handheld NLJD on the market today, ideal for unobtrusive body-search, mail screening and TSCM sweeps of small offices for locating concealed electronic devices. More >
